Inspired by a friend...

Heather is truly one of my favorite people, she is so creative and funny.  I'd like to think that if we lived in the same town we would be great friends!  As it is, since she is in Portland and I am here in the middle of the country, I have to settle for reading her blogs, email, FB and the occasional phone conversation.



We like the same books, she is actually the one who talked me into getting a Kindle instead of one of the other eReaders out there.  I am glad I did, I couldn't live without it!  I so enjoy talking books with her after we finish reading something new.

Heather is actually one of the reasons I started getting into swaps and quilting.  I found her on Flickr originally and joined a swap group she was in, started following her blog and the rest is history.   If you sew and you like to swap you haven't swapped until you have participated in one of Heather's Swaps...they are truly the best there is.

 Her style is just something that speaks to my creative side.  I have never really liked traditional quilting and her pictures prove that quilting can be fun and eclectic. She has made some of my very favorite things like these....

 

I was actually inspired by her post today and I was going to do a random things post like she did, but I think I will save that for tomorrow!
