I got my Substitute Certification yesterday! I turned in my application today and I should hear back within a week. She said that I may not even need to interview...that would be awesome. I always get so nervous. I have been checking into pointing my domain name to my Etsy store. That will be happening on or around the 30th of this month so that I don't have to pay my Big Cartel fees again. Since I will be going to 100% pre-made items, it's just not worth it to pay a monthly fee when I can pay only for the items I sell on Etsy. I will also get a little more exposure for the items that I do list. You will still be able to find me by typing in pinkpunkboutique.com too, so that's a good thing!
I made a list last night of all the notions, zippers, d-rings, elastic, etc...that I needed to get me through all the orders that I have right now. I also bought more interfacing and some flannel to use for lining on something new that will be in my newly re-opened Etsy store. I am waiting for some adjustable strap hardware and I should be set. I have been cutting out some Harper Messenger Bags for Kristen today. Hopefully I will get that hardware tomorrow so I can finish them up...if not I will just have them all done and put the straps together as soon as I do get the stuff I need.
I did post a brand new code in the store this morning, it's 15% off everything, and it will be good until I close up the shop. Just check out my Facebook Page if you want to get the code. I should also mention that if you have any gift cards or codes that you need to use, those are only good until the store closes.
I don't know about you but I LOVE October because that's when all the sattelite channels start playing their horror movies. I have always liked Vampire movies, but in the past couple years I have become a Zombie fan. I think it started when I saw Shaun of the Dead for the first time. Yes, I said first time! I think I have seen it at least 4 times and I could watch it over and over really. We then moved to the George A. Romero Zombie movies and those are pretty good until you get to the last one or two then they aren't so much! Now I am all about The Walking Dead...I love it. Season one, at just 6 episodes, was just not enough. Then we have to wait a WHOLE year for the 2nd season. It started on Sunday and it's going to be a good season.
If you stay tuned on AMC they have a half hour show on after it called The Talking Dead where they talk to the people who work on the show and fans of the books and the show. They show some behind the scenes stuff and answer questions, etc....it's pretty cool. It's hosted by Chris Hardwick who seems to be a bit of a fan boy geek so that makes it even cooler.
Now, you all know how much I love to read and after watching The Talking Dead after the 1st Episode of this season I was convinced that I needed to read these. I am not a Graphic Novel gal, I don't think I have ever read one, but they talked about it on the show and it made me wan to give it a go. I ordered this one on Amazon. I read that Robert Kirkman is the master of the cliff hanger and he leaves each issue with you wanting to dive right into the next one. Book One has the first 12 issues in it so that should give me a good start and I can see if I want to keep reading them! Jake has a friend that will probably want them when I am done with them so they will for sure get read.
Well, it's time for dinner...pizza time! Have a great evening!
