I LOVE Fall

I think that Fall is my favorite season!  To be fair, I when it's winter and I am ready for warmer weather I think Spring is my favorite so they are probably equal.  Here are some of my favorite things about fall.
  • Cool misty mornings, even when I don't have to go outside.
  • Baking, it's always more appropriate in the fall!
  • Seeing the leaves changing colors.  We don't have any pretty trees at this house, but they are still out there!
  • Maple Leaf Festival...we just went to the parade last year, but I want to go see the crafts this year.
  • I just like the feel of fall, it reminds me of when I was a kid going back to school...I was one of those kids that really loved back to school time.  I still do...I am looking forward to maybe going back to school myself...next fall.
  • Cream cheese potato soup!
  • Getting out my quilt to wrap up in on the couch while I read or watch TV.
  • So many more things...
What is your favorite season?  Why?

Since it's the first day of October I just posted the sale items for this month.  You may notice that my store is looking slimmer.  In an effort to cut my store costs a little, I have downgraded my Big Cartel package and it only allows me 25 items instead of the 100 I had previously.  If you look at some of them though, like the camera strap, you will see that there is a drop down menu that allows you to choose the regular, ruffle or patchwork strap.  This allows me to combine 3 products into one listing.  I have also done this with the Hanna Diaper Bags and a couple more products.  Here are a couple things I finished up and mailed this week.

An Izzy DSLR Bag

A Ruffled iPad Sleeve

I normally take the weekends off from sewing, but I have some stuff I want to try to get caught up on so today I am working on a Diaper Bag and a couple of coupon clutches and at least one lunch bag.  We'll see how much I actually manage to get done!

Yesterday was my last day at Macy's.  It was like a burden was lifted when I clocked out at 10am.  I liked the work actually, it was the schedule that I didn't like.  I wasn't sleeping well on the nights I had to get up early.  Jake wasn't getting any sleep those mornings since he had to get up to get the kids to school just a couple hours after going to bed.  It just wasn't worth it, especially when my last 2 checks are only $29.00!!

I have an appointment on Monday for finger printing and a background check, I have all my online application stuff done.  All I have to do is wait for the background check to go through and for my certification from the state that says I am eligible to be a Substitute Teacher, then I just have to call for an interview.  I am looking forward to it, I hope it all works out.  Until then, I am going to try to get all my Pink Punk orders caught up!

If I have time today I am going to work on something I have been planning for the past week.  I have all the details worked out I just need to find the time to actually make one to see how it turns out!  If I do I will post it on Facebook...

Have a great weekend!!
